Ephesians 5:18
Do not get drunk on wine, whichleads to reckless indiscretion. Instead, be filled with the Spirit.

Proverbs 20:1
Wine is a mocker, strong drink a brawler, And whoever is intoxicated by it is not wise.
Judges 13:4
"Now therefore, be careful not to drink wine or strong drink, nor eat any unclean thing.
The Arabs (before the coming of prophet Muhammad) were great drinkers of wine, God in his mercy, has banned the wine through three important steps.
The first step was:
They ask you about wine and gambling. Say, "In them is great sin and [yet, some] benefit for people. But their sin is greater than their benefit." And they ask you what they should spend. Say, "The excess [beyond needs]." Thus Allah makes clear to you the verses [of revelation] that you might give thought.
( Quran: 2/219)
After the revelation of the above-quoted verse, among the believers there were people who said, since God says the sin is great, and the benefit is very small, we will not drink this wine at all, others have said since there is anyway a small profit we will continue to drink.
O you who have believed, do not approach prayer while you are intoxicated until you know what you are saying or in a state of janabah, except those passing through [a place of prayer], until you have washed [your whole body]. And if you are ill or on a journey or one of you comes from the place of relieving himself or you have contacted women and find no water, then seek clean earth and wipe over your faces and your hands [with it]. Indeed, Allah is ever Pardoning and Forgiving.
(Quran: 4/43)
There is a second restriction, not drinking before the 5 compulsory prayers, among drinkers who continue to do so, a party has ceased drinking. They said the wine takes us away from God.
O you who have believed, indeed, intoxicants, gambling, [sacrificing on] stone alters [to other than Allah], and divining arrows are but defilement from the work of Satan, so avoid it that you may be successful.
(Quran: 5/90)
When this verse was revealed [the Muslim scholars are unanimous that the wine was prohibited in the year 3 AH] ie 16 years after the beginning of the revelation of the Quran.
- One who worships idols by associating them with God;
- Makes them filth, dirt;
- Makes them work of Satan;
Conclusion:The all success is to refraining from drinking it.
Allah our God knows best!
