The Death of the Prophets

"O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!" (From the KJV Bible, Matthew 23:37)

The Death of John the Baptist

Matthew 14 :1 - 12 New Living Translation (NLT)
1 When Herod Antipas, the ruler of Galilee,[a] heard about Jesus,
2 he said to his advisers, “This must be John the Baptist raised from the dead! That is why he can do such miracles.”
3 For Herod had arrested and imprisoned John as a favor to his wife Herodias (the former wife of Herod’s brother Philip).
4 John had been telling Herod, “It is against God’s law for you to marry her.”
5 Herod wanted to kill John, but he was afraid of a riot, because all the people believed John was a prophet.
6 But at a birthday party for Herod, Herodias’s daughter performed a dance that greatly pleased him, 7 so he promised with a vow to give her anything she wanted.
8 At her mother’s urging, the girl said, “I want the head of John the Baptist on a tray!”
9 Then the king regretted what he had said; but because of the vow he had made in front of his guests, he issued the necessary orders.
10 So John was beheaded in the prison,
11 and his head was brought on a tray and given to the girl, who took it to her mother.
12 Later, John’s disciples came for his body and buried it. Then they went and told Jesus what had happened.

1 Kings 18:4 King James Version (KJV)
For it was so, when Jezebel cut off the prophets of the Lord, that Obadiah took an hundred prophets, and hid them by fifty in a cave, and fed them with bread and water.)

1 Thessalonians 2:14-15King James Version (KJV)
14 For ye, brethren, became followers of the churches of God which in Judaea are in Christ Jesus: for ye also have suffered like things of your own countrymen, even as they have of the Jews:
15 Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they please not God, and are contrary to all men:

God the Deceiver

Jeremiah 20:7  King James Version (KJV)

O Lord, thou hast deceived me, and I was deceived; thou art stronger than I, and hast prevailed: I am in derision daily, every one mocketh me.

2 Thessalonians 2:10-12  Revised Standard Version (RSV)
10 -and with all wicked deception for those who are to perish, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.
11- Therefore God sends upon them a strong delusion, to make them believe what is false,
12- so that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

2 Thessalonians 2:10-12  King James Version (KJV)
10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Jeremiah 4:10 King James Version (KJV)
Then said I, Ah, Lord God! surely thou hast greatly deceived this people and Jerusalem, saying, Ye shall have peace; whereas the sword reacheth unto the soul.

1 Kings 22:23  King James Version (KJV)
Now therefore, behold, the Lord (not Satan but God himself) hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and the Lord hath spoken evil concerning thee.

Is Allah the Best of Deceivers?

Quran bring us back to the original comprehension about the true nature of God.

And the disbelievers planned, but Allah planned. And Allah is the best of planners.
(Quran-3:54)

Then did they feel secure from the plan of Allah ? But no one feels secure from the plan of Allah except the losing people.
(Quran-7:99)

And [remember, O Muhammad], when those who disbelieved plotted against you to restrain you or kill you or evict you [from Makkah]. But they plan, and Allah plans. And Allah is the best of planners.
(Quran-8:30)
