1-Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness TO BE TEMPTED BY THE DEVIL. 2- After fasting forty days and forty nights, He was hungry. 3- The tempter came to Him and said, “If You are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.” 4- But Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” 6- “If You are the Son of God, he said, “throw Yourself down. For it is written:‘He will command His angels concerning You, and they will lift You up in their hands, so that You will not strike Your foot against a stone.’” 7- Jesus replied, “It is also written: ‘DO NOT PUT THE LORD YOUR GOD TO THE TEST.’”
This quotation(Matthew 4:7) comes from Deuteronomy 6:16 a verse that comes two chapters before that quoted in 4:4. As with the earlier quotation it uses the exact translation found in the Septuagint. In this section of Deuteronomy Moses is instructing the Israelites on proper behaviour. In full Deut 6:16 reads "Do not test the Lord your God as you did at Massah." JESUS JUST QUOTED THE OLD TESTAMENT and commandment ! not originally his own word ! he didn’t said about him being God but he just used the quotation just to answered the devil
Deuteronomy 6:16
"You shall not put the LORD your God to the test, as you tested Him at Massah.
This is a reference to the events of Exodus 17:5 where the Israelites wandering in the desert doubted God was with them. This passage is thus seen as the clearest evidence for the theory that the temptation narrative shows how Jesus avoided making the same errors as the Israelites.
Exodus 17:4-5
4-So Moses cried out to the LORD, saying, "What shall I do to this people? A little more and they will stone me." 5-Then the LORD said to Moses, "Pass before the people and take with you some of the elders of Israel; and take in your hand your staff with which you struck the Nile, and go.
God cannot tempted by evil/devil
James 1:13 When tempted, no one should say, “- God”is tempting me. For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He tempt anyone.
If jesus really our god so he shouldn’t be tempted by devil Source: http://biblehub.com
But if I am doing them, even though you do not believe Me, believe the works themselves,so that you may know and understand that the Father is in Me, and I in the Father.” (John 10:38 )
Jesus made such statement to described the connection between him and the God are very close connection and relation but not in essence or existence.
But if we are to base the oneness of God and Jesus on those biblical passage (based on Trinity theory), then we have to equally accept what John himself had remarkes in the same Gospel that God must be consisting of not only three divine persons but 15 with inclusions of the twelve disciples as the Bible emphasizes in the following passage…Per assertion of the above quoted biblical passage, we may take for granted that Trinity is extandable to FIFTEENITY:
John 17:20-26
20- I am not asking on behalf of them alone, but also on behalf of those who will believe in Me through their message, 21-THAT ALL OF THEM (the desciples) MAY BE ONE, AS YOU,FATHER, ARE IN ME, AND I AM IN YOU. MAY THEY ALSO BE IN US, so that the world may believe that You sent Me. So the “in” in those verses its supposed to mean the very close connection between God and Jesus and the anyone who honestly following Jesus teached (the desciples).. 22- I have given them the glory You gave Me, so that they may be one as We are one 23- I IN THEM AND YOU IN ME — that THEY MAY BE PERFECTLY UNITED, so that the world may know that You sent Me and have loved them just as You have loved Me. Jesus clearly wish for loveness of God not just for him but share the love together with his desciples..so Jesus and the desciples perfectly united with the love of God.. 24-Father, I want those You have given Me to be with Me where I am, that they may see the GLORY YOU GAVE ME because You loved Me before the foundation of the world. The glory of Jesus was clearly given by God 25-Righteous Father, although the world has not known You, I know You, and they know that You sent Me. Jesus want the world known the God as their God and know that Jesus was sent by God (messenger) 26-And I have made Your name known to them and will continue to make it known, so that THE LOVE YOU HAVE FOR ME MAY BE IN THEM, AND I IN THEM.”
Jesus make sure everyone remained known the name of God so God’s love that had by Jesus was remained in them too…
According to same verses (John 17:20-26), Jesus repeated again and again “You sent me” to strictyly state that he was sent by God (messenger).
John 17:20-26
20- I am not asking on behalf of them alone, but also on behalf of those who will believe in Me through their message, 21-that all of them may be one, as You,Father, are in Me, and I am in You. May they also be in Us, so that the world may believe that YOU SENT ME. 22- I have given them the glory You gave Me, so that they may be one as We are one 23- I in them and You in Me — that they may be perfectly united, so that the world may know that YOU SENT ME and have loved them just as You have loved Me. 24- Father, I want those You have given Me to be with Me where I am, that they may see the glory you gave me because You loved Me before the foundation of the world. 25- Righteous Father, although the world has notknown You, I know You, and they know that YOU SENT ME. 26- And I have made Your name known to them and will continue to make it known, so that the love You have for Me may be in them, and I in them.”
Note: Unity in one faith one love one heart toward God No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us. – 1John 4:12 Note: "live" & "in" on those verses is metaphorical which represent "very closer" or "close enough to love each other between God and human".
Disciples 'ONE' with God just like 'I and my Father are ONE'
People of the Book, do not go to excess in your religion, and do not say anything about God except the truth: the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, was nothing more than a messenger of God, His word, directed to Mary, a spirit from Him. So believe in God and His messengers and do not speak of a 'Trinity'—stop, that is better for you—God is only one God, He is far above having a son, everything in the heavens and earth belongs to Him and He is the best one to trust.
— Qur'an, sura 4 (An-Nisa), ayat 171
Those who say, "God is the Messiah, son of Mary," have defied God. The Messiah himself said; "Children of Israel, worship God, my Lord and your Lord." If anyone associates others with God, God will forbid him from the Garden, and Hell will be his home. No one will help such evildoers. Those people who say that God is the third of three are defying [the truth]: there is only One God. If they persist in what they are saying, a painful punishment will afflict those of them who persist. Why do they not turn to God and ask his forgiveness, when God is most forgiving, most merciful? The Messiah, son of Mary, was only a messenger; other messengers had come and gone before him; his mother was a virtuous woman; both ate food. See how clear We make these signs for them; see how deluded they are.
— Qur'an, sura 5 (Al-Ma'ida), ayat 72-75[4]
John 20:17 King James Version (KJV)
Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.
God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods.
For although there may be so-called gods in heaven or on earth—as indeed there are many “gods” and many “lords”— yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist.
(1 Corinthians 8:5-6)
Note: bible put the distinction between God and Lord. One is God. The other one is Lord.
“Their destiny is destruction, their god is their stomach,”
(Philippians 3:19)
“The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers,” (II Corinthians 4:4)
Then the LORD said to Moses, "See, I make you as God to Pharaoh, and your brother Aaron shall be your prophet.
(Exodus 7:1)
I said, "You are gods, And all of you are sons of the Most High. (Psalm 82:6 )
For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
Three in one has been removed by Christian scholars from Revised Standard Version
1 John 5: 6-8 (Revised Standard Version)
6-This is the One who came by water and blood, Jesus Christ—not by water alone, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who testifies to this, because the Spirit is the truth. 7-For there are three that testify: 8-the Spirit, the water, and the blood — and these three are in agreement.
The argument based on John 10:30-37
John 10:30- I and the Father are one.
So what is the contex for this statement??..there is no other way but its connected with the next verses… John 10:31-33 31-At this, the Jews again picked up stones to stone Him. 32-But Jesus answered, “I have shown you many good works from the Father. For which of these do you stone Me?” 33-“We are not stoning You for any goodwork, said the Jews, “but for blasphemy, because You,who are a man, declare Yourself to be God.”
It seems Jews claimed that Jesus consider himself as God but Jesus didn’t accept it or denied it becaused its related with the contex meaning of ‘god’ according to those jews (linguistic boundation) ..not literally god is the contex of divinity but it is in the contex of godly work for real God who gave those authority.
John 10:34 Jesus replied, “Is it not written in your Law: ‘I have said you are gods’?
To defend himself Jesus replied by quote the law of moses (Torah- old testament) which is psalm 82:6
Psalm 82:6
said, "You are gods, And all of you are sons of the Most High. “
John 10:35-36
35-If he called them GODS TO WHOM THE WORD OF GOD CAME — and the Scripture cannot be broken — 36-THEN WHAT ABOUT THE ONE WHOM THE FATHER SANCTIFIED AND SENT INTO THE WORLD? How then can you accuse Me of blasphemy’ for stating that I am the Son of God?
From the verses John 10: 35-36 the ‘god’ in the contex for Jesus situation and the past jews(psalm 82:6) is the one whom bring the word of God or the one whom sent by Father into the world to do the godly work..Jesus truly the son of god metaphorically becaused he did bring the word of God and sent by God to fullfill the godly mission (mission from God). The same situation like Moses the one who received the godly authority upon falsehood and evil (Pharaoh).
Exodus 7:1
Then the LORD said to Moses, "See, I make you as God to Pharaoh, and your brother Aaron shall be your prophet.
Jesus clearly state if he did not doing his Father work so don’t believe in him but the fact is he did his task as someone who sent by the Father
John 10:37 If I am not doing the works of My Father, then do not believe Me.
Bart Ehrman on the Origins of the Trinity
LOGICAL EXPLAINATION (basic calculation): whole = fully, part= not fully/half 1 + 1 + 1 = 3 1 part + 1 part + 1 part = 3 part = 1 whole 1 whole + 1 whole + 1 whole = 3 whole ( not 1 whole nor 1 part) Water (part 1) + Blood (part 2) + water (part 3) = 3 part = 1 whole mixture that combine (not 1 part) (combination/mixture= inseperable but different kind of "part" still seperable in element or essence to form 1 different mixture-not original element ) Father(part 1) + Jesus (part 2) + Holy Spirit (part 3) = 3 part = 1 whole (not 1 part) ...if we believe this kind of calculation so Jesus is not fully God becaused he was "part" to make as a whole (combination/mixture= inseparable but still different kind of "part" in element or essence) Father ( whole 1) + Jesus (whole 2) + Holy spirit (whole 3)= 3 whole (not 1 whole) ..if Jesus was fully god so he's being another "whole"/"fully" which means seperable (not part of).
John 10:30 " I and my Father are one "
What did Jesus mean saying 'I and my Father are One'!
Inequality Between Three
Father is Greater than Jesus
Ye have heard how I said unto you, ‘I go away and come again unto you.’ If ye loved Me, ye would rejoice because I said, ‘I go unto the Father,’ for My Father is greater than I.(JOHN 14:28)
Father is Greater than ALL
My Father who has given them to Me is greater than all. No one can snatch them out of My Father’s hand.(John 10:29 )
So Jesus and the Father (God) are not EQUAL
And Paul declares that the head of every woman is her husband, the head of every man is Christ, and the head of Christ is God (see 1 Corinthians 11:3).
Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come. – Matthew 12:32
“But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father” – Matthew 24:36

The Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, was but a messenger of Allah and His word which He directed to Mary and a soul [created at a command] from Him. So believe in Allah and His messengers. And do not say, "Three"; desist - it is better for you. Indeed, Allah is but one God. Exalted is He above having a son. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And sufficient is Allah as Disposer of affairs. (Quran-4:171)

Note: the 'likeness' doesnt mean physical likeness but the form of human being made according to the will of God.The likeness of GOD Almighty is not the physical appearance, but rather having the knowledge of Good and evil.

And [mention, O Muhammad], when your Lord said to the angels, "Indeed, I will make upon the earth a successive authority." They said, "Will You place upon it one who causes corruption therein and sheds blood, while we declare Your praise and sanctify You?" Allah said, "Indeed, I know that which you do not know." And He taught Adam the names - all of them. Then He showed them to the angels and said, "Inform Me of the names of these, if you are truthful."
They said, "Exalted are You; we have no knowledge except what You have taught us. Indeed, it is You who is the Knowing, the Wise." He said, "O Adam, inform them of their names." God has no Form Deuteronomy 4:15-20 Revised Standard Version (RSV)
15 “Therefore take good heed to yourselves. Since you saw no form on the day that the Lord spoke to you at Horeb out of the midst of the fire, 16 beware lest you act corruptly by making a graven image for yourselves, in the form of any figure, the likeness of male or female, 17 the likeness of any beast that is on the earth, the likeness of any winged bird that flies in the air, 18 the likeness of anything that creeps on the ground, the likeness of any fish that is in the water under the earth. 19 And beware lest you lift up your eyes to heaven, and when you see the sun and the moon and the stars, all the host of heaven, you be drawn away and worship them and serve them, things which the Lord your God has allotted to all the peoples under the whole heaven. 20 But the Lord has taken you, and brought you forth out of the iron furnace, out of Egypt, to be a people of his own possession, as at this day. 8-Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and that will be enough for us.”
9-Jesus replied, “Philip, I have been with you all this time, and still you do not know Me? Anyone who has seen Me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?
If you don’t understand me (jesus) and my mission so how supposed you understand God? ‘Seen’ in this contex is understanding not physically seen….so he’s not claiming himself as the father but what are we supposed to seen (understand) …the way to understand God is through Jesus becaused he was sent by God to give understanding about God upon Israelites..
Bible clearly state that God (Father) is unseen but Jesus physically seen by anyone during before he was ascend to heaven.. Genesis 33:9-11New International Version (NIV) 9 But Esau said, “I already have plenty, my brother. Keep what you have for yourself.” 10 “No, please!” said Jacob. “If I have found favor in your eyes, accept this gift from me. For to see your face is like seeing the face of God, now that you have received me favorably. 11 Please accept the present that was brought to you, for God has been gracious to me and I have all I need.” And because Jacob insisted, Esau accepted it.
