The Hour has come near, and the moon has split [in two].
And if they see a miracle, they turn away and say, "Passing magic."

Narrated Ibn Masud:
During the lifetime of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) the moon was split into two parts; one part remained over the mountain, and the other part went beyond the mountain. On that, Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Witness this miracle." (Sahih al-Bukhari Hadith 4864)
Rima Ariadaeus is a linear rille on the Moon at 6.4°N 14.0°E. It is named after the crater Ariadaeus, which marks its eastern end. Over 300 kilometers long,it is thought to have been formed when a section of the Moon's crust sank down between two parallel fault lines (making it a graben or fault trough).
