Retribution:Punishment penalty

Exodus 21:23-25

"But if there is any further injury, then you shall appoint as a penalty life for life,eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, burn for burn, wound for wound, bruise for bruise."

But why do they come to you for judgment, when they have the Torah, in which is God’s Law? Yet they turn away after that. These are not believers.

We have revealed the Torah, wherein is guidance and light. The submissive prophets ruled the Jews according to it, so did the rabbis and the scholars, as they were required to protect God’s Book, and were witnesses to it. So do not fear people, but fear Me. And do not sell My revelations for a cheap price. Those who do not rule according to what God revealed are the unbelievers.

And We wrote for them in it: a life for a life, an eye for an eye, a nose for a nose, an ear for an ear, a tooth for a tooth, and an equal wound for a wound; but whoever forgoes it in charity, it will serve as atonement for him. Those who do not rule according to what God revealed are the evildoers.

43 And if your hand causes you to sin,[a] cut it off; it is better for you to enter life maimed than with two hands to go to hell,[b] to the unquenchable fire.[c] 

45 And if your foot causes you to sin,[d] cut it off; it is better for you to enter life lame than with two feet to be thrown into hell.[e][f] 

47 And if your eye causes you to sin,[g] pluck it out; it is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than with two eyes to be thrown into hell,[h] 

48 where their worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched.
